ARALAR's St. Michael
From thousands of years ago, here in Baskenland and all over Europe, peoples have prayed to their gods on the mountains in many maners. On those places, they sensed their gods' presence with greater proximity. Here, in many places troughout Aralar, you can still visit dozens of those sacred dolmens built by our ancestors. When the Roman Catholic religion came to our land, about 2000 years ago, one of those sacred places was transformed into a sanctuary for St. Michael.
